Biography

Ian is a principal inspector appointed by the UK office for nuclear regulation (ONR). Ian has undertaken regulatory roles across the UK nuclear industry including a variety of operating facilities and is currently ONR’s task lead for decommissioning projects within Sellafield Limited’s Remediation value stream. Prior to joining ONR, Ian’s career encompassed a variety of roles with the United Kingdom Atomic Energy Authority and nuclear consultancies managing the delivery of projects (including storage tank remediation at the Oakridge National Laboratory in Tennessee); and providing safety case assessment support to the UK ministry of defence submarine propulsion programme.
