Biography

Ms. Schlueter joined NEI in 2008. She is currently responsible for resolving generic regulatory issues impacting the nuclear industry including the fuel cycle, low-level waste management and disposal, transportation, and radiation protection among others. Prior to NEI, Ms. Schlueter spent 19 years at NRC where she served one NRC Commissioner and one Chairman. She managed the Yucca Mountain Program among others and was an Office Director. Prior to NRC, Ms. Schlueter was a consultant. She graduated from the Medical College of Virginia and George Washington University in radiation sciences.
