Biography

John Marra joined the U.S. Department of Energy – Office of Environmental Management (DOE-EM) as a Senior Technical Advisor in June 2015 and was appointed Chief Engineer in 2016. In this role, Dr. Marra provides broad-ranging technical support to senior-level DOE management on technical issues. From 1987-2015, Dr. Marra held various technical staff and management positions at the Department of Energy's (DOE) Savannah River Site (SRS). He retired from SRNL in 2015 as Laboratory Fellow, Science and Technology and Chief Research Officer. Dr. Marra is a past President and Fellow of The American Ceramic Society (ACerS).
