Biography

Mr. Aleksandr Gelfond is Director of Cask Engineering/Licensing at EnergySolutions. In this position he is responsible for internal and external licensing and engineering support associated with low level radioactive waste casks operations. Aleksandr joined EnergySolutions Cask Division in 2014. Prior to joining EnergySolutions, Aleksandr worked for several years at Holtec International as a Project/Technical Manager assigned to ISF-2 Chernobyl spent nuclear fuel dry storage project in Ukraine. Aleksandr is a licensed professional engineer, ASNT NDT Level III in Leak Testing and holds Masters in Mechanical Engineering and MBA degrees from Rowan University.
