Biography

Kela Lofton has over 22 years with Huntington Ingalls Industries (HII) and is currently the Facility Manager for the Spent Fuel Project (SFP) at Savannah River Nuclear Solutions (SRNS). She oversees spent fuel management and facility operations. She provides leadership for 130 employees. Lofton serves as the Chairman of the SFP Facility Operations Safety Committee (FOSC) and Chairman of the Facility Managers’ Forum. Lofton is also the President of the Savannah River Site - Women in Nuclear Organization. Lofton has previous held positions as the S8G Prototype Refueling Overhaul Program Manager, Nuclear Engineering Manager, and Nuclear Engineering Program Planning Manager.
