Biography

Dr. Philipp Hänggi Head Business Unit «Nuclear and Coal», BKW Energie AG – Switzerland Philipp is responsible for BKW’s nuclear and coal assets, which include with the NPP Mühleberg, the first decommissioning project of a commercial NPP in Switzerland. Philipp is a member of the administrative board of the National Cooperative for the Disposal of Radioactive Waste (Nagra) and the Central Interim Storage (Zwilag). Before joining BKW in 2014, Philipp was the Managing Director of Swissnuclear which, among other responsibilities, conducts the cost estimates of the Swiss decommissioning and disposal projects. Philipp holds an Executive MBA (HSG) and a PhD in Physics (ETHZ).
