Biography

Mr. Sven Nagelschmidt is scientific assistant at the Federal Institute for Materials Research and Testing. He has been working in the division for “Safety of Storage Containers since 2008 and his field of work focuses mainly on the safety analysis of dual purpose casks for dry interim storage of spent nuclear fuel. He has a diploma of mechanical engineering from the technical university of Berlin and attained first work experience as an employee by AREVA NP in Erlangen for Deterministic Safety Analysis for Nuclear Power Plants.
