Biography

Emily A. Caffrey, PhD, CHP, is the program director and an assistant professor for the Master's in Health Physics Program at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She has a BS in nuclear engineering and a PhD in radiation health physics and statistics from Oregon State University (OSU). She obtained the title of certified health physicist (CHP) from the American Board of Health Physics in 2021, is a member of the National Council on Radiation Protection and Measurements, and serves as the Program Committee Chair and Ask The Expert Editor for the Health Physics Society.
