Biography

I am a technical planner and registered professional geotechnical/ geological engineer specializing in development of safe geologic disposal and near surface disposal facilities for Low-, Intermediate-, and High-level radioactive wastes. Currently, I am the principal investigator and project manager for the Enhanced Sealing Project, an international collaboration R&D project to monitoring the full-scale shaft seal at Canada's Underground Research Laboratory. My expertise includes: strategic planning, nuclear energy management, knowledge management, disposal technology, numerical modeling, engineered barrier testing (i.e., clay, rock, geosynthetics, and concrete), large-scale testing, site investigation, and long-term monitoring.
