Biography

Michael Labriola is a safety and licensing engineer at Canadian Nuclear Laboratories. He holds both a bachelor's and master's degree in Nuclear Engineering from UOIT. He has been working on Near Surface Disposal Facility project since it began in the fall of 2015. While much of his time is spent on the interface between the project and the regulator, his background in radiation physics and shielding was an opportunity to contribute to the geomembrane testing and evaluation process, specifically the calculation of maximum absorbed dose.
