NESCA
I hold a position as chief scientist in the Nuclear Waste Research group of Necsa, the South African Nuclear Energy Corporation. I am the leader of a critical project on development of a uranium recovery method involving radioactive waste from the production process of the medical isotope fission Mo-99. Previously I worked as analyst at South Africa’s PBMR Company; responsible for computer modelling of fission product and dust transport. I am currently doing a PhD on the uranium recovery development process, and my main areas of expertise are the aqueous chemistry of actinides and fission products, and waste treatment research.
