Biography

I am a Fellow at Japan Nuclear Fuel Limited (JNFL) from March 2017, Prior to this position; I was the Director of Nuclear Security & Safeguards for JNFL. I started my career in 1972 at the Power Reactor and Nuclear Fuel Corporation in the R&D division of uranium enrichment. Subsequently, I made efforts to improve safeguards especially safeguards for the prototype fast breeder reactor Monju, the large scale reprocessing plant in Japan. In 1999, I joined JNFL assumed management of safeguards and nuclear security for all of the nuclear fuel cycle facilities in Rokkasho (enrichment plant and reprocessing).
