Biography

Mark Noakes, BS/MS/PE Electrical Engineering and PhD Mechanical Engineering, has worked in the areas of robotics and remote systems at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory for the last 35 years. Most of that time has involved the development of systems for operation in radiation environments and the decommissioning of nuclear facilities. Recent work has shifted to the application of robotics and controls to the area of metal large scale additive manufacturing and the development of 3D-printed manipulator systems.
