Biography

Mitch MacKay has been a communication professional for over 15 years. Beginning in the broadcast and journalism field with a brief stint in politics and the majority of time in the nuclear sector. Within the nuclear sector Mitch has come to specialize in communication and Indigenous engagement related to the decommissioning, waste management and disposal area, having worked on several key waste management projects across Canada, including the remediation of the Whiteshell and Chalk River sites. Mitch has been a part of several long term negotiations and agreements related to relationship building with communities and the legacy of nuclear in their territory.
