Biography

Rafaele Fiorella has a BSc degree in Electrical Engineering from the Universidad Simon Bolivar and an MSc degree in Power Systems from the Universidad Central de Venezuela. Rafaele worked for over 15 years in Venezuela in the oil and petrochemical environment. Rafaele moved to Canada in 1997 and established his career in the private sector. In 2009, he joined Atomic Energy of Canada to work in the National Research Universal (NRU) reactor. Rafaele led the In-Service-Inspection (ISI) program for the NRU until 2017, and more recently, with Canadian Nuclear Laboratories, he is the project leader for the NRU reactor shutdown.
