Biography

Scott Parnell General Manager, Historic Waste Program Management Office Canadian Nuclear Laboratories Scott Parnell has more than 20 years of senior management experience in environmental remediation and restoration across North America. He has been involved in the remediation of over 600 mixed waste sites and was the director Hanford’s Environmental Restoration Disposal Facility. As General Manager of Canadian Nuclear Laboratories’ Historic Waste Program, Scott currently oversees the Port Hope Area Initiative, a federal project for the cleanup and long-term management of over 800 sites containing historic low-level radioactive waste in Port Hope, Ontario. Scott holds a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Washington State University and a professional Engineering licence.
