Biography

Sue Smiley is a 28+ year employee of the DOE, primarily with the Office of Environmental Management (EM) at the Mound Plant, Ohio Field Office and EM Consolidated Business Center. Sue held a variety of positions at Mound, including Environmental Compliance Manager and Soil & Groundwater Remediation Manager. Sue represented EM during site transition planning for the four Ohio Closure Sites and subsequent transfer of LTS&M responsibilities to the Office of Legacy Management (LM). Sue transferred to LM in May 2016 and serves as Site Manager for the Fernald Preserve and the former Mound Plant site. Sue holds a Master of Environmental Science (M.En.) degree.
