Biography

Dr. DiFilippo has extensive experience addressing the fate and transport of organic and inorganic chemicals in the environment. She has conducted numerous studies of groundwater transport, statistical geochemical analysis, groundwater age-dating, dense non-aqueous phase liquid (DNAPL) dissolution, enhanced DNAPL remediation technologies, and the use of innovative technologies for measuring in-situ concentrations of organic contaminants in sediment pore-water. For geochemical studies, she as applied various statistical methods to evaluate background concentrations and the impact of site activities on groundwater contaminants. Dr. DiFilippo has authored several publications related to organic and inorganic geochemistry and groundwater transport.
