Biography

Dr. Sungmoon Joo is a senior researcher at Korea Atomic Energy Research Institute where he has conducted research in the design of robotic systems for decommissioning of nuclear facilities, and instrumentation and control systems for nuclear reactors. He earned his Ph.D. in aerospace engineering from Stanford University. His research focuses on improving the performance of robotic systems through the application of machine learning, intelligent planning, feedback control, and integrated sensing systems.
