Biography

Sandra Birk is INL’s Relationship Manager and Initiative Lead for Environmental Management. She has over 25 years’ experience in the development and management of national programs that require a diverse set of engineers and scientists, require international exposure, and demand political and legal sensitivity. She was the INL Yucca Mountain Program Manager responsible for design and prototyping the waste package closure system for the repository, Manager of the National Spent Nuclear Fuel Program that was responsible for the DOE complex research and analysis to ensure DOE managed fuels and high level waste were accepted at the repository, INL project lead
