Biography

Bernt Haverkamp has a masters degree in Geophysics and a PhD in natural sciences. He joined DBE in 1992 and worked in the Geotechnics Department before he became Deputy Head of the Department for International Cooperation in 2004. Bernt is expert in exploration, geotechnical monitoring and long-term safety assessments. For the European Commission support project for Iraq on the design of a surface disposal facility at Al Tuwaitha he is the key expert for design related safety assessment.
