Biography

Mr. Leo Thompson is a consultant supporting DOE EM, DOE NNSA and its contractor’s. Leo has led environmental clean-up projects in the USA as well as in Australia, France and Japan. He recently completed a review with the IAEA to assess clean-up progress at the Fukushima site. For Fluor Idaho, Leo developed the strategy and, with his co-author, Joe Giebel, led a team that resolved the technical issues with the Integrated Waste Treatment Unit. Leo earned a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from Western Washington University and a Master’s degree in Law at Arizona State University’s Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law.
