Biography

Michael Spoerner is currently the Manager of Non-Reactor Nuclear Facilities at Sandia National Laboratories in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Previous responsibilities included being the Project Leader for the sorting and treatment of legacy and newly-generated low-level waste, mixed waste, and transuranic waste. His team also processed nuclear material and special nuclear material that had been designated for disposition. Michael received his Bachelor of Science degree in Health Physics at Purdue University and his Masters in Public Health at the University of New Mexico.
