Biography

Catherine Badke is a Radioactive Waste Policy Advisor with Natural Resources Canada. Catherine has over 10 years of experience in overseeing radioactive and hazardous waste management, decommissioning and site restoration projects at Atomic Energy of Canada Limited sites. Catherine also has over 15 years of experience in managing federal environmental assessment reviews of a range of proposals, including several projects in the nuclear field. She currently oversees the organization tasked with finding a suitable site for the long-term management of Canada's nuclear fuel waste and provides advice on other radioactive waste and environmental assessment issues. Catherine holds a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies from the University of Waterloo.
