Biography

Nathalie Tuya is an undergraduate student pursuing a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Environmental Engineering at Florida International University with an expected graduation date of May 2021. Nathalie’s current project involves investigating the effects of wetland conditions at the Savannah River Site on the mobility and attenuation of iodine-129. The objective of this project is to identify the dominant attenuation mechanisms of iodine-129 in the wetlands in order to know which conditions the DOE should monitor to predict potential mobility events.
