Biography

My name is Derek Gabaldon and I am a senior studying mechanical engineering at Florida International University. My professional interests are applied mechanics, robotics, and engineering design. Currently, I am working as an undergraduate research assistant at the Applied Research Center FIU to develop test methods and assess the viability of fixative technologies to mitigate the risk associated with deactivation and decommissioning of nuclear sites around the United States.
