Biography

Thao is currently completing his doctorate in Chemistry in Dr. Clara Wren's research group at the University of Western Ontario. Chemistry has always fascinated Thao because it gave him answers to big questions about the materials that make up our world. His current Ph.D. research involves developing a laser ablation system for the removal of radioactive surface contaminants on reactor pipes. Aside from his academic endeavours, Thao enjoys playing recreational sports, reading romantic novels, hosting BBQs in his backyard, and of course attending Waste Management Symposia.
