Biography

• Current research focuses on decommissioning technologies. • Joined EPRI in 2008. • Before joining EPRI, worked at Westinghouse in the areas of development and application of chemical decontamination and cleaning technologies, and radioactive waste processing. This work was performed at operating domestic and international nuclear power plants, decommissioned reactor sites, waste processing facilities, and U.S. government research facilities. • Career in nuclear power began as a commissioned officer in the U.S. Navy’s Naval Reactors Program. • Bachelor of Science degrees in chemistry and mathematics from Charleston Southern University in Charleston, South Carolina. • Doctorate in chemistry from Virginia Polytechnic Institute in Blacksburg.
