Biography

Gabriele Bandt has completed her studies in chemistry at the University of Hannover with a doctorate in chemical engineering. She has 25 years experience in radioactive waste management. After many years of experience at an independent expert organization, she now works at Vattenfall Europe Nuclear Energy GmbH. tasks include the field of radioactive waste conditioning and product control processes focusing on the qualification of waste packages for disposal. Since 2015, Gabriele is also a member of the “Committee on Waste Conditioning, Transport, and Interim Storage (AZ)” belonging to the national German Nuclear Waste Commission (ESK).
