Biography

For the past 35 years, Mr. Jones has served in various technical and management positions in the Offices of Nuclear Energy (NE) and Civilian Radioactive Waste Management (RW) at the U.S. Department of Energy in Washington D.C. He is currently a staff member in the Spent Fuel and Waste Disposition Office. His present duties include: participation in studies relating to an interim storage facility and repository for spent nuclear fuel; oversight of NEPA and environmental compliance documentation; engagement in communications with program stakeholders; principle DOE/NE point of contact for tribal relations; and coordination of activities on the international aspects of radioactive waste.
