Biography

Dr. Yifan Tang received his Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry from the University of Pittsburgh in 2013. He has 10+ years of experience in design of experiments, materials science, electrochemistry, nanotechnology, sensor, coating and formulation development. At ISL, he is the project director of the DOE Phase II project to develop smart, cost-competitive, environmentally-friendly fixatives for dust management at contaminated sites. Another of his major responsibilities is the development and optimization of ISL’s sensor platform. Dr. Tang is the PI for several NASA, DoD and DOE projects. He has authored 20 peer-reviewed publications with more than 1100 citations.
