Biography

Kenneth E. Sanders, PhD, Chemical Engineering, is Argonne Associate at Argonne National Laboratory. He retired from U.S. federal service after 40 years serving in the National Nuclear Security Administration as Federal Project Manager for secure transportation of nuclear material excess to national security, in Dept. of Energy as Division Director for International Safeguards, in Arms Control and Disarmament Agency (Dept. of State) as policy analyst, in International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) as safeguards inspector and negotiator, in Nuclear Regulatory Commission and Atomic Energy Commission as engineer. He has received the NNSA Distinguished Service Award, NNSA Gold Medal, DOE Distinguished Career Service Award, and Award for Valor from DOE Secretary.
