Biography

Bill King is a Fellow Scientist at the Savannah River National Laboratory in Aiken, SC. He received a PhD in chemistry from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville and conducted post-doctoral research at Vanderbilt University. Bill has worked at the Savannah River Site for the past twenty years, where his research has been focused on the development of High Level Waste (HLW) treatment processes for both SRS and Hanford. Research areas have included: 1) evaluation of ion exchange materials (exchange performance, chemical reactivity, hydraulics, modeling), 2) actinide solubility in HLW, and 3) HLW sludge heel removal for tank closure.
