Biography

Mr. John U. Moon is currently the Director of the Office of Chief Engineering within the Department of Energy (DOE), Environmental Management (EM). In the past, he has managed Minority Serving Institute Partnership Program at the DOE EM and served as the Principal Deputy to the Assistance Secretary at the DOE Economic Impact & Diversity. His career spans over 30 years as DOE contractor and in federal service. Mr. Moon holds BSE & MSE in Nuclear Engineering and an MBA. He is certified as DOE Federal Project Director and DOE Senior Technical Safety Manager. Additionally, he has completed the SES CDP and FEI Leadership for Democratic Society Program Cohort #504.
