Biography

Vijay Jain is the Chief Technology Officer for the Savannah River Remediation. He has master and doctoral degrees in Ceramics from Alfred University and an MBA from St. Bonaventure University. Dr. Jain has 35 years of industrial research, development and engineering experience, with 20 years in managing programs. Dr. Jain’s experience includes 20 years at several DOE sites, including Savannah River Site; Waste Treatment Plant; and West Valley Demonstration Project. At the Southwest Research Institute (SwRI) in San Antonio, Dr. Jain provided technical leadership to Nuclear Regulatory Commission on Yucca Mountain High-Level Waste Repository program and the Tank Waste Remediation.
