Biography

Dr. Kristine Zeigler is the Director of the Actinide Materials & Separations Science & Technology Section in the Nuclear Materials Management Directorate at the Savannah River National Laboratory (SRNL). She presently directs programs in nuclear fuel and strategic materials for separations and processing for recovery and beneficial reuse; treatment for stabilization; and surveillance and monitoring for extended storage. Her portfolio in nuclear material systems and analytical methods includes sensor development for hydrogen and tritium applications; characterization of high level waste chemistries; method development for nuclear waste glass characterization; and characterization of aging structural materials.
