Biography

Katie Mummah is a PhD student in Nuclear Engineering and Engineering Physics at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She earned her B.S. in Nuclear, Plasma, and Radiological Engineering from the University of Illinois in May 2017 and earned her MS from Wisconsin in May 2020. Her research focuses on using computational models of the nuclear fuel cycle to inform nuclear nonproliferation, and she also works on science communication within and around the nuclear community. She is a Department of Energy NNSA Nuclear Nonproliferation & International Safeguards Graduate Fellow and a Graduate Associate of the Consortium for Monitoring, Technology, and Verification (MTV).
