Biography

Valerie McCain is Project Director for Hanford’s Waste Treatment and Immobilization Plant and a Bechtel Senior Vice President. Valerie has nearly 30 years’ experience in project management and leadership roles for commercial and government customers across several continents and multiple business lines. She has worked for Bechtel since 1990. Valerie has been project manager on Uranium Processing Facility project in Tennessee; project manager on an aluminum smelter project in Canada; project manager on a coal project in Australia as well as key leadership roles on other major projects. Her early career included roles as an environmental scientist and cost engineer.
