Biography

Mike Pittman, Parsons Vice President of Nuclear Operations and Salt Waste Processing Facility (SWPF) Project Manager, served for 22 years as a Naval Nuclear Officer and Naval Reactors DOE representative; tours included: nuclear submarine service, reactor prototype instruction, aircraft carrier deployment, and nuclear-capable shipyard oversight. Joining Parsons in January, 2016, he eventually assumed the role of SWPF Plant Manager and Director of Plant Operations, leading the project through the Testing and Cold Commissioning phases of the DOE's newest Hazard Category II nuclear facility. As Project Manager, Mike ensured the successful completion of Hot Commissioning Testing and commencement of unrestricted operations.
