Howard University
My name is Hamid Ghaffari Nazarlou, a fourth-year Ph.D. student in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Howard University. My research revolves around waste products in the environment, including membrane processes to treat and reuse water to solve environmental problems as well as discovering the safest and lowest-impact methods of disposing of hazardous waste. Currently, my research focuses on the crossflow filter fouling by coupling permeate production rate measurements with direct imaging of solids accumulation on the filter surface during crossflow filtration of a simple waste simulant.
