John Seaman is a Senior Research Professor with the University of Georgia’s Savannah River Ecology Laboratory. Dr. Seaman received B.S. and M.S. degrees in Soil Chemistry from Texas A&M University in 1987 and 1990, respectively, and a Ph.D. in Soil Science from UGA in 1994. Dr. Seaman has over twenty years of experience in addressing heavy metal and radionuclide contamination at the Department of Energy’s Savannah River Site, including the use of cementitious materials for the long-term disposal of radioactive wastes. He has over eighty peer-reviewed publications, and has served on numerous review panels for DOE, USDA, EPA and NSF.
