Biography

Mark Senderling has 34 years of experience in the nuclear industry, including LLW, TRU, HLW and SNF management and disposal; project/contract management; procurement; and Navy nuclear operations. He has held various management positions in the Federal sector with increasing levels of scope and responsibility. He is currently Senior Fuel Cycle Advisor-Back End of Nuclear Fuel Cycle at INL and formerly EM's DAS for Waste & Materials Management, having responsibilities over waste management policy, including TRU and LLW treatment/disposal, excess material, nuclear materials, transportation and DOE’s HLW interpretation. Mr. Senderling was the HQ WIPP Recovery Manager from April 2014 until the successful resumption of emplacement operations in January 2017.
