Biography

Educational credentials: Gloria has over 21 years of experience in the teaching profession. She has been Teaching in Florida for the last 14 years, taught dual language for 3 years, and has now been working as a Dual Language Instructional Facilitator for the Broward County School District Bilingual/ESOL Department in Florida for the past 4 years. Biography: From as far back as I can remember I have always wanted to teach. I was fortunate enough to have teachers throughout my school career that cared, motivated me, and made learning interesting. I left their classes with a love for education. I became a teacher because I wanted to provide my students with the same experiences. I wanted them to leave my class knowing that education can be fun, that it is the most important instrument available to them; a tool that will stay with them throughout their lives and will help them in every aspect of their future. Now, I am fortunate enough to be in a role where I can also support our AMAZING Educators better meet the needs of their students. I have over 21 years of experience in the teaching profession. I began my career in education in Georgia as a teacher’s assistant, working with students in grades K-2. I now work in Broward County, which is the 6th largest school district in the Nation, for the last 15. I have worked in Kindergarten, First, Second, K-5 ESOL teacher, and for the last 4 years as a Dual Language
