Biography

Emily Fung (she/her) is the Education Equity Policy Manager at Chinese for Affirmative Action. Throughout her career, she has aimed to uplift the voices of students from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds. She previously worked as an advocacy program manager in Seattle, WA, lobbying for inclusive special education supports and running two civic leadership trainings for multicultural students and families. In 2022, Emily coordinated a coalition that helped to successfully pass legislation that expanded language access support in K-12 schools across Washington state. In her policy work at CAA, Emily continues to advocate for equitable academic opportunities and resources, ensuring that every young person has the chance to learn and thrive.
