Biography

Jayro Alcántar Armenta is a Dual Immersion Teacher on Special Assignment (TOSA) with Palm Springs USD, leading districtwide efforts to strengthen biliteracy pathways from PreK–12. With over 20 years of experience teaching and coaching in dual language programs across the U.S. and Mexico, he specializes in fostering bilingualism, biliteracy, and cross-cultural understanding through creative, equity-driven practices. He has presented at conferences like CABE and RCOE, sharing strategies that integrate STEAM, the arts, and student reflection to deepen language learning.
