Biography

Loong is the President of Spectra Tech, Inc., that provides services in nuclear security, environmental cleanup, and nuclear energy. He serves on the board of directors of Waste Management Symposia, East Tennessee Economic Council, Oak Ridge Civic Music Association, and the Guitar Foundation of America. In 2023 Loong was appointed to the Tennessee Governor’s Nuclear Energy Advisory Council (TNEAC), where he is co-chair of the Workforce Development and Education Working Group. Loong has a BS, MS, and Ph.D. in nuclear engineering
