Biography

Taohedul Islam is a graduate student (Ph.D. in Chemistry) at Jackson State University, Jackson, MS. He joined the research group of Dr. Saiful M Islam on January 2022. Currently, he is working on Synthesis and Characterization of Crystalline and Amorphous Materials towards the Goal of Nuclear Waste Remediation and Energy Applications. During his MS, he worked on Synthesis and Biomedical Application on Novel Thiazole Derivatives during his Masters at Jagannath University, Dhaka, Bangladesh. He is also focused on developing his skills in synchrotron techniques for structural analysis of crystalline and amorphous materials by X-ray Absorption Fine Structure (XAFS) and Pair Distribution Function (PDF).
