Biography

Virgil O. Peoples is the Program Manager, and Transportation Logistics Advisor to Idaho National Laboratory, Special Reactor Concepts for Defense Nuclear Energy Applications. He provides research and technical advice to the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) and the Department of Defense to analyze aspects of microreactor design concepts with emphasis on the transportation of advanced reactor and microreactor definitions targeted for demonstration. He also collaborates with major stakeholders and other national laboratories to harmonize transportation regulations relevant to reactor transportation options. He has 24+ years of experience in managing transportation and logistics programs, processes and procedures for defense nuclear energy applications.
