Biography

I hold a B.Sc. and M.Sc degree in Chemistry as well as a second MSc in Nuclear Science. I am currently a fourth-year graduate student doing a Ph.D. in the Chemistry and Biochemistry Department at Florida International University. I work at Dr. Konstantinos Kavallieratos' research group where my research focuses on the use of ligands with Sulfonamide moieties bearing hard electron rich atoms (oxygen and nitrogen) for the complexation and extraction of lanthanides, and in future actinides from alkaline high-level waste.
