Florida International University
I born in Havana Cuba and immigrated to the United States, specifically New Jersey, with my family in 2000. I later moved to Florida in 2005 and became interested in organic chemistry when I entered high school. I went to FIU to get my Bachelor’s where I worked with one of Dr. Lima’s postdocs for a year examining the structural complexity of the ubiquitin C-terminal hydrolase knot protein using TIMS-MS with the goal of learning and using analytical tools and strategies to characterize biomolecules until graduating in Fall 2019. I returned to FIU in Fall 2020 and am currently pursuing a Ph.D working in Dr. Bukhryakov's lab.
